Following the Karin Quarry quest in Crimson Desert, ‘Sealed in Stone’ asks you to use the large crane in the quarry to clear a path to a hidden chamber. While the task itself is straightforward, the crane’s controls can be a bit tricky. Don’t worry, this Crimson Desert quest doesn’t require much effort – here’s a guide to help if you’re struggling with the crane.
Crimson Desert Sealed in Stone Walkthrough
Once you’ve completed the Stolen Quarry quest and defeated the Bleed Bandits in Crimson Desert, you’ll need to clear the large stone blocking the unique rock formation in the quarry’s center. To do this, find Erich, an NPC located near the crane elevator, and get the Crane Control Room Key from him. He will only appear after you’ve defeated all the Bleed Bandits and the Excavatron boss.
To continue, ride the crane elevator and use the wheel to go to the top. If you’re skilled and have enough stamina, you can also fly or use special movement techniques to launch yourself upwards. While 200 Max Stamina is ideal for these moves, you can still manage it by using food to replenish your stamina as needed.
When you get to the top of the crane elevator, go into the Crane Control Room and use the control wheel near the window that looks out over the quarry. Once you grab the wheel, the camera will move outside, letting you control the crane.
Extracting the Stone
To get the ‘Sealed in Stone’ quest item from Crimson Desert, position the crane’s claw directly above the large, grey cube at the bottom of the screen. Use the D-Pad or WASD keys to move the crane, and then press Down on the D-Pad or S on your keyboard to lower the claw. Once the claw is over the cube, it will grab it automatically. After a moment, the crane will lift the cube for you – you don’t need to do anything else.
Getting the stone cube finishes this part of the House Roberts quest. Return to Hernand to claim your reward. You can also explore the newly opened underground chamber if you’d like to find some additional items.
Rumor has it there’s extra treasure hidden in the underground chamber under Karin Quarry. More importantly, a secret wall is there, but you’ll need to learn the Focused Force Palm ability – found later in the game – to reveal it. Once you do, you’ll discover an Abyss Transporter, which is used to fix damaged Abyss Nexuses.
