Dratini is a highly sought-after Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but it doesn’t appear in the open Wild Zones. It’s one of the rarest Pokémon in the game, and you’ll only find it hidden in specific locations around Lumiose City.
You can find Dratini relatively early in your Pokemon Legends: Z-A journey, which is good news! However, it’s very difficult to catch, even with good Poké Balls like Great Balls or Ultra Balls. Plus, Dratini is easily scared and will run away quickly, making the process even more challenging.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Dratini Location
You’ll find this cafe on the roof of Restaurant Le Nah, which is located on the southeastern side of Lumiose City. It’s south of Wild Zone 6 and east of Wild Zone 2.
To find Dratini, first climb the ladder to the tall building beside Restaurant Le Nah. Then, dodge roll across the gap to get onto the restaurant’s roof. You’ll see two Fletchlings, and Dratini will be right behind them.
Dratini is hard to catch, so use your best Poke Balls! You’ll have a better chance if you throw a Poke Ball from behind it. If it escapes, Dratini will disappear quickly, so you’ll need to make it reappear by fast traveling away from and then back to Restaurant Le Nah.
You can find Dratini on rooftops throughout Lumioise City, even near Cafe Soleil on the city’s southwestern side, close to Wild Zone 10. To get up there, look for the scaffolding on the buildings and climb up.
How to Evolve Dratini in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Dratini evolves into Dragonair at level 30, and Dragonair then evolves into Dragonite at level 55. These evolutions happen at higher levels than most other Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, so you might need to spend some time earning experience points to help Dratini and its evolutions keep up with your team.
Okay, so Dragonite is seriously powerful in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which means putting in the work to train a Dratini is totally worth it. And get this – Pokemon Legends: Z-A is where Mega Dragonite finally shows up! So, if you catch a Dratini, you’re one step closer to having another awesome Mega Evolution on your team.
