It’s best to build a base for the Fabricator first, and you can find instructions on how to do that here!
Medical Gel Sac Locations in Subnautica 2
Medical Gel Sacs are very common in the beginning area of Subnautica 2. You’ll often find them growing in small caves near your Lifepod, and there’s one located directly below it.
Right after you leave the Lifepod, look down into the water. You’ll see a circular opening beneath it. Swim through the opening and into the cave. At the very bottom, you’ll find a pink plant with a glowing green sphere inside.
The green orb is a Medical Gel Sac. You can pick it up without any tools, but be careful! Once you harvest the sac, a poisonous gas will release from the plant and cause a little damage, so move away quickly.
You can find more of these plants in the caves nearby. Also, use your Survival Multitool to collect the pink, fleshy flowers growing around the Medical Gel Sac. These flowers, called Acidic Raion Pouches, can be crafted into Basic Batteries and Mild Acid.
How to Craft Basic and Enhanced First Aid Kits in Subnautica 2
You can make First Aid Kits using a Fabricator, but each kit needs different ingredients.
- The Basic First Aid Kit can be crafted with x1 Fiber and provides +50 HP.
- The Enhanced First Kit can be crafted with x1 Fiber and x1 Medical Gel Sac and provides +100 HP.
In Subnautica 2, First Aid Kits are the most effective way to restore health. However, eating specific foods like Threemoon Temaki (+15 HP) and Pavlova (+10 HP) can also help you regain health.
You can still find first aid kit items upon exploring abandoned bases in the ocean!
