In a short while, Minecraft will undergo a significant visual transformation, offering players the choice of using shaders and enhanced lighting effects that will bring out the stunning appeal of its blocky universe more vividly than ever before. The gap between standard Minecraft and Vibrant Visuals is as wide as day and night, so some gamers might be curious about how to enable these settings.
Starting soon, Minecraft will feature stunning visuals across Xbox, PlayStation, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms. If you’re playing the Bedrock Edition or its Preview version, here’s how to enable this new enhancement right away.
At this moment, Vibrant Visuals can be found exclusively in the Preview edition of Minecraft’s Bedrock Edition. In the upcoming months, it will become accessible within the standard version of Bedrock Edition. Eventually, they plan to extend its compatibility to the Java Edition as well.
How to Activate Vibrant Visuals in Minecraft
To use the Vibrant Visuals feature in your game, first choose the world you want to apply it to and press the Edit button, or create a new world if needed. In the world settings, search for the Experiments section, where you’ll find the Graphics option. By clicking on the Graphics option, you can discover Vibrant Visuals and enable it simply by clicking on it. Since Vibrant Visuals is still in the testing phase, remember that activating experiments within Minecraft’s Bedrock Edition Preview means you won’t be able to deactivate them afterward.
What Do Vibrant Visuals Do?

In the future, Mojang aims to enhance the appearance of Minecraft on advanced hardware, envisioned as Vibrant Visuals. This upgrade will feature elements typically seen in modern games such as enhanced water effects, glowing textures, directional lighting, volumetric lighting, and fog volumes. These features work together to create more aesthetically pleasing visuals, with shadows aligning accurately with the sun and water appearing realistic through reflection.
In simpler terms, Vibrant Visuals doesn’t change the core rules of how games work; instead, it offers additional aesthetic enhancements that make the game more visually appealing. These improvements are optional and focus on making the environments, creatures, and items even more captivating for players.
