LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight features 21 escaped zoo animals to find. You’ll get your first one automatically during a mission in Chapter 2, before facing The Penguin. The remaining 20 are hidden throughout Gotham City, waiting to be discovered.
As a huge Batman fan, I’m so excited about this! It looks like we finally have everything we need to help Bats track down all those escaped zoo animals. This guide has the mission details – titles, exact locations with coordinates, and even the best strategies for safely capturing them. It’s going to be awesome seeing Batman bring them all home without causing any more trouble in Gotham!
You can usually locate animals using Detective Mode (R3), which will outline them in red. However, some animals are skittish and require you to approach them quietly from behind to attach a tracker.

- At coordinates 259, 279, you can find 5 meerkats around a public garden.
I was so excited to find all the hidden meerkats! They’re all over the place, but the best part is they don’t run away! I spotted one right as I walked in, to the left. Then there’s one near the seesaw in the park, another down the stairs on the right, and I even found one chilling by a bench. The last one was tucked away in the gazebo – what a fun little scavenger hunt!
