A new LEGO set based on the 1984 movie Gremlins is reportedly coming soon! Leaked information suggests the set will be surprisingly affordable at just $25 and will be available starting September 1st.
Released in 1984, Gremlins is a funny and scary movie directed by Joe Dante and written by Chris Columbus, with Steven Spielberg as an executive producer. The film follows a small town plagued by mischievous, destructive creatures on Christmas Eve. Over the past forty years, Gremlins has gained a dedicated fanbase, and companies frequently release Gremlinsthemed products to take advantage of its enduring appeal. This year, LEGO is joining in with their own Gremlins* merchandise.

On May 19th, LEGO leaker Brick Tap shared information online about several upcoming LEGO sets planned for release later this year. One of these is a LEGO set based on the movie Gremlins, featuring Gizmo and Stripe. According to Brick Tap’s sources, this set will be available starting September 1st for $25.

LEGO sets have become known for being expensive, especially recently. So, a price of $25 seems surprisingly affordable, particularly for a set based on a less mainstream franchise like Gremlins. This price makes sense because the set is rumored to be part of LEGO’s BrickHeadz collection, which features characters rebuilt as small, blocky, and cartoonish figures.
Priced at $25, the new LEGO Gremlins BrickHeadz set will likely include between 250 and 300 LEGO pieces. This is similar to other recent LEGO BrickHeadz sets: the Fortnite set with the Supply Llama and Fishstick also costs $25 and has 300 pieces, and the upcoming LEGO Shrek set, featuring Shrek, Donkey, and Gingy, will also be $25 with 259 pieces.
LEGO has released *Gremlinsthemed sets before. In October 2025, they launched the Gizmo LEGO Ideas set (21361). Priced at $109.99, the 1125-piece set lets you build a posable Gizmo, the main character from the movie, standing over 8 inches tall and 10 inches wide. It also includes brick-built 3D glasses and a small water splash piece, referencing a famous scene from the 1984 film.

Other Leaked LEGO Sets Launching in September
In May, Brick Tap shared some early information about upcoming LEGO sets, including rumors about Batman and Pokémon. They reported that a LEGO set based on Batman Returns, featuring the Batmobile, is expected to be released on September 1st. This set will have 2,272 pieces and cost around $220. Brick Tap also revealed three new LEGO Pokémon “Smart Play” sets: a Gengar and Cubone set, a Charmander and Geodude set, and a single Jigglypuff set. These Pokémon sets will work with LEGO’s new Smart Brick technology, but won’t include a Smart Brick within the set itself.
