No Man’s Sky Players Demand Customizable Space Stations
As No Man’s Sky approaches its 10-year anniversary, players are asking for the ability to build bases that aren’t limited to individual planets. A popular Reddit post by user awacate_gamerYT suggests adding customizable space stations, and many fans strongly support the idea. These stations would function similarly to existing planetary bases, but also include features from the game’s settlements – allowing for large numbers of inhabitants and visits from other ships.
Players in No Man’s Sky have plenty of ways to build custom spaces all over the universe. Freighters were one of the first options – these huge ships offer hangar bays, storage, teleporters, and more, with interiors you can customize almost as much as planetary bases. However, because freighters were added to the game early on, they don’t benefit from some of the newer features that have been introduced over time.
Players have been asking for the ability to build custom space stations for a long time, and the number of requests shows how popular this feature would be. Many fans are hoping space stations might be added in the upcoming 10th anniversary update in August, and they’ve been directly appealing to Sean Murray, the creator of No Man’s Sky.
