A new picture book based on Final Fantasy IX is coming out in May. Titled Vivi and Grandpa’s Memories for the Sky, it tells the story of Vivi’s first encounter with Grandpa Quan, who rescues him after he’s caught on a fishing line. The book features contributions from several people who worked on the original Final Fantasy IX, including event director Kazuhiko Aoki and character designer Toshiyuki Itahana. It’s currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $16.77 (originally $17.99) and will be released on May 19th.
