One Piece Fest Takes Place in the US in August 2026 for the First Time Ever

Fans of One Piece have a lot to be excited about, both in the near future and for years to come. As the original manga story heads towards its epic conclusion and a huge, action-packed war, viewers in the US will soon have a new way to experience the series.

Previously, amazing events and celebrations for popular Japanese franchises were mostly held only in Japan. However, things are changing, especially for One Piece fans! Toei is now offering a new, immersive experience right here in North America.

One Piece Fest Coming to LA in 2026

The very first One Piece Fest in North America is coming to Cosm Los Angeles on August 25th and 26th, 2026 (a Tuesday and Wednesday)! Fans can enter a lottery for a chance to buy tickets in advance until May 14th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Those selected will be emailed details on May 21st, but space is limited – only 7,000 fans will be able to attend.

I’m expecting Toei to share more specifics soon about what fans can look forward to at this event, but they’ve already hinted at a lot of cool stuff. We’re talking exclusive merchandise, panels with creators, live shows, and interactive experiences. What really caught my attention, though, is the promise of a special, immersive experience centered around Elbaph – that sounds amazing!

In addition to Elbaph, the official website details themed zones based on other important locations from the series, including East Blue, Alabasta, Impel Down, Amazon Lily, and Egghead. It looks like every significant island featured in a major story arc will be represented at the show.

Considering the scale of the event, we can expect some exciting announcements. It wouldn’t be a surprise if a new trailer for the One Piece anime remake is shown, or if we get a first look at the second part of the Elbaph arc. Toei typically does things like this in Japan, but this is the first time they’re bringing an event of this kind to the United States.

One Piece Anime Already Covering the Elbaph Arc

The following section contains spoilers for One Piece’s Elbaph arc.

With its return in April, the anime One Piece began adapting the Elbaph arc, which is nearing its conclusion in the manga. This arc introduces new characters and answers some questions, but also creates new mysteries, particularly surrounding figures like Shamrock and Shanks’ brother, and Imu – a character who was previously introduced but is now receiving more focus.

The manga is reaching an incredibly exciting point, as the author, Eiichiro Oda, is building towards a massive final battle. Since Imu arrived at Elbaph, we’ve seen new abilities emerge, such as Omen (also known as Maki), which seems to be a kind of opposite to Haki. Currently, Imu doesn’t seem strong enough to defeat the Straw Hats, but it’s likely he’ll either fall back or force Luffy to retreat.

Domination arises from three key forces: the allure of easily won power, the willingness to sacrifice freedom for personal gain, and the destructive force of envy. These three – easily gained power, self-serving agreements, and envious ambition – combine to create a cycle of control.

— Nerona Imu in One Piece Chapter 1811

The Elbaf arc is solidifying relationships between characters and revealing their strengths. While it might lead directly into a massive war, there’s a chance we’ll see one more story arc beforehand. Whatever happens, this upcoming conflict promises to be even bigger than the Summit War, completely changing the world and how it’s governed in One Piece.

One Piece is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
