One Piece Officially Sets Up Three God Devil Fruits After Elbaph Arc

Chapter 1182 of One Piece came out in Weekly Shonen Jump on May 10, 2026, and it revealed a lot more about the powerful God Devil Fruits. The chapter officially introduced Rain God Zaza, a divine being, and hinted at three more important God Devil Fruits that will be revealed after the Elbaph arc. As the story quickly moves towards a massive war, the gods and these fruits are becoming increasingly central to the plot, according to the latest release from Eiichiro Oda.

Eiichiro Oda’s Introduction Of Rain God Zaza In One Piece Chapter 1182 Confirms The Existence Of 3 More God Fruits

Chapter 1182 of One Piece was released after a two-week break following Golden Week, appearing in Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24 on May 10th. Fans anticipated the continuation of the fight between Nerona Imu and Loki, but the chapter surprised everyone by introducing a completely new God within the One Piece universe.

In the latest chapter of One Piece (1182), Saint Rimoshifu Killingham used his Devil Fruit power to create a god that even the Celestial Dragons fear: Rain God Zaza. This confirms that the gods worshipped by the people of Skypiea, first introduced in chapter 287 (released August 11, 2003), are actually real.

As the pleas for rain rose and fell, Saint Rimoshifu Killingham proclaimed, “Here comes Rain God Zaza!” – from One Piece chapter 1182.

Similar to the Sun God Nika, all these gods in the world of One Piece will be revealed as Devil Fruit users during the final story arc. The Skypeia arc introduced four gods, and we officially rediscovered the Sun God Nika in chapter 1044 of the Wano Country arc, published on March 28, 2022. The identities of the other three gods will be revealed in the next arc.

Why The Arcs After Elbaph Will Reveal The Earth God, Forest God, And Rain God Devil Fruits

The Elbaph arc of One Piece is nearing its end. Chapter 1182 kicked off the final battle to save the country, with Zoro and Sanji taking on Sommers and Killingham, and Luffy and Loki facing Nerona Imu. This battle won’t last much longer, and once the fight with Imu is over, the story will move onto a new arc. It’s expected that the other God Fruits will be revealed gradually in this next part of the series.

In One Piece chapter 287, a Shandian Elder pleads to the gods of the sun, rain, forest, and earth, offering a woman’s blood as a sacrifice to protect their village from an impending catastrophe.

In chapter 287 of the Skypeia saga, Eiichiro Oda drew attention to four specific deities for readers.

  1. Sun God Nika, who fans know is none other than Luffy.
  2. The Rain God, who we know already exists thanks to Killingham’s Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, although the wielder of the Rain God Zaza Devil Fruit remains unknown still.
  3. The Forest God, who, according to The Harley, is the one who sent forth demons during the Void Century War.
  4. The Earth God, who has been alive in the world of One Piece for over a thousand years.

According to ancient texts, the Earth God existed in both the First and Second Worlds. While the full extent of his power is unknown, stories say he once joined forces with the Serpent of Hellfire in the First World. This alliance led to the complete destruction of that world after the arrival of the Sun God, Nika.

The Earth God is presented as a villain, opposing both the Rain God and the Sun God, which is a compelling idea. Soon, in upcoming story arcs of One Piece, we’ll finally see the full extent of the powers of the Earth God, the Forest God, and the Rain God, and fans are eagerly anticipating it.

One Piece’s Great War Will Officially Deliver A Battle Of Gods

As a huge One Piece fan, I’m getting so hyped for what’s coming! We’re steadily building towards the Great War, and honestly, creator Eiichiro Oda says it’s going to absolutely dwarf Marineford – he’s even called Marineford just a warm-up! The latest developments in the Elbaph arc, specifically what Gunko said in chapter 1142, pretty much confirm that the battle for Elbaph is the last thing that’ll happen before the Great War kicks off. So get ready, because things are about to explode!

Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, says his biggest motivation is completing the final story arc. He believes it will be far more epic than the already popular Marineford arc, which he actually considered a relatively minor part of the overall story and was surprised became so beloved by fans. (From a 2012 interview)

By now in the story, we should have seen all the Gods hinted at by Eiichiro Oda. That means after the Elbaph arc ends, the Forest God, Rain God, and Earth God need to appear and become important figures. These gods are incredibly significant to the plot, and they’ll likely have a major impact on everything that happens next.

Fans are already well-acquainted with the Sun God Nika. The Rain God, who seems to be Nika’s ally, is likely to appear next and challenge the Celestial Dragons, as their kind are known to fear him. The Forest God’s role and who he is remain a complete mystery, though he might also be an ally of Nika. The Earth God, however, appears to be an enemy and will likely play a significant part in the story going forward. Some fans speculate the Earth God is actually Imu, but we’ll need more information from the author to confirm this theory. As the story moves closer to the Great War, these Gods are becoming increasingly important, which is very exciting for fans.
