Okay, so South Korea isn’t just about awesome arcades and playing online with friends. They actually make some seriously good games – everything from huge titles to cool indie stuff. I’ve put together a list of what I think are the best games developed there, based on how popular they are and how fun they actually are to play.
The Jeju Island story arc from Solo Leveling was covered in three episodes of the anime, starting with episode 10 of season 2 and ending with episode 13. These episodes featured two key fights. First, the top-ranked Korean Hunters battled the Ant Queen, a difficult fight ultimately won by Cha Hae-In. But then, the real danger emerged with the arrival of the Ant King, who was much stronger than the Queen.
The Marketplace was introduced in early March as part of The Sims 4‘s Maker Program and became available in the game on March 17th. It’s a special in-game shop where players can purchase custom content using real money, and it allows creators to earn from their designs.
The next major update for Final Fantasy XIV, called “Trail to the Heavens” (Patch 7.5), will be the final big addition to the Dawntrail expansion. This update is being released in stages: Patch 7.5 arrives on April 28th, followed by 7.51 in early June, 7.55 in late July, and 7.56 in early September.
Titan Manga is releasing the first volume of Strange Pictures in English this June, two years after it came out in Japan. The manga, adapted by Kikou Aiba, centers on Sasaki and Kurahira, two college students who investigate the paranormal. They stumble upon a seemingly innocent blog that hides a disturbing secret.
Epic Games gave away the stealth game The Stone of Madness for free yesterday, April 16th, and announced the next free game. On April 23rd, The Stone of Madness will be replaced by Doomblade, a 2D action metroidvania game. It’s quite different from both The Stone of Madness and the currently available bonus game. Before Doomblade becomes free, players who enjoy realistic action RPGs should check out Undead: Rise of the Betrayed King.

We’re also leaving out games that had troubled launches but were later fixed, such as Cyberpunk 2077, despite its current quality with the Phantom Liberty expansion.
