PlayStation 6 Exclusives Could Come at a Hefty Price
While Sony hasn’t officially announced it, the PlayStation 6 is likely to be released within the next few years. Reports suggest it could be expensive – possibly around $1,000 – which would be a significant purchase for gamers eager to play Sony’s new single-player games. In the past, PC gamers could often wait for these games to become available on Steam, but Sony has decided to stop releasing its titles on that platform. This means PC players might have to spend as much as another small computer just to play games like Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and the next Horizon installment.

To attract more players, Xbox Game Pass has become more affordable, and Sharma has emphasized the importance of bringing exclusive games back to Xbox. We’re already seeing this change with popular titles like Gears of War: Reloaded and Starfield now available on PlayStation 5, and Halo: Campaign Evolved is also planned for Sony’s console. However, Microsoft could also decide to focus on Xbox exclusives again to strengthen the brand under Sharma’s direction.
