Currently, the second most popular series on Crunchyroll is One Piece, boasting 803,000 ratings and over a thousand episodes. Demon Slayer is also a major competitor, with 739,000 ratings and a substantial number of episodes – more than Solo Leveling. What really stands out about Solo Leveling is its incredible 4.9-star rating, maintained despite the high volume of ratings, making it a fan favorite on the platform.
Solo Leveling Is Set To Become The First Crunchyroll Anime To Ever Break The 1 Million Ratings Mark in 2026
I’m seriously blown away by how quickly Solo Leveling is growing in popularity! It’s incredible – just a few months ago it had around 970,000 ratings, and even without any new anime episodes or a currently running manhwa, it’s still climbing! It’s now at 990,000, which makes it the highest-rated anime on the platform, and it’s getting dangerously close to breaking the all-time Crunchyroll record. It’s so exciting to watch!
No show on the streaming service has yet reached 1 million ratings, but ‘Solo Leveling’ is quickly gaining ground. Currently at 990,000 ratings, it needs just 10,000 more to break the record, and is expected to do so in 2026. The series’ popularity could get another boost at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026 on May 23rd if it wins any prizes.

Why Solo Leveling Will Break More Records With Future Animated Projects
Since its release on Crunchyroll, Solo Leveling has been incredibly popular, consistently breaking viewing records. In 2025, it made history at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards by becoming the first anime adapted from a manhwa to win Anime of the Year. The series also won numerous other awards, recognizing its compelling story, fantastic action, and memorable main character, Sung Jinwoo.
I’m so excited for the 2026 Crunchyroll Awards! Even though Solo Leveling didn’t get a nomination for Anime of the Year, it’s still in the running for a ton of other awards, and I’m really hoping it wins big! We’re talking Best Continuing Series, Best Opening and Ending Sequences, Best Action, Animation, the award for Best Main Character, Best Anime Song, and even Best Score – seriously, it’s got a chance in almost every category! I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Even with all the nominations it’s received, Solo Leveling reaching 1 million ratings is just the beginning. When the next project comes out – whether it’s a third season or an anime movie – the ratings are expected to increase dramatically. The series will likely gain thousands more ratings and break records, especially as the most exciting story arcs, like the Double Dungeon Arc and the International Guild Conference Arc, are still to come.
