At The Game Awards 2025, fans of Star Wars got a thrilling surprise: a brand-new racing game, Star Wars: Galactic Racer. It’s the first official Star Wars racing game since 2002 and brings back the exciting podracing from Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, the game’s first trailer showed off everything fans loved about podracing – quickly built machines, fast-paced action, and spectacular crashes when things go wrong.

The release date for the new Star Wars Galactic Racer game has been officially confirmed after a trailer leak, and fans can start playing on October 6th. Set in the Star Wars universe after Return of the Jedi, this racing adventure will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Pre-orders are open now, with the standard edition priced at $59.99 and a deluxe version available for $79.99.
