It’s been said that during Stellar Blade‘s development phase, Shift Up intended to amplify the game’s fun elements even more. However, it appears that a supposed hidden cooperative mode discovered by modifiers was actually just a component of the Unreal Engine 5.
A Brazilian fan account discovered video evidence that appears to depict a split screen and the emergence of a second character labeled “Eve” in Eidos 7, yet the game’s original developer has clarified this may not have been an active project within the studio.
In contrast, several file names within the code of the release seem to refer to “multiplay,” which suggests an online multiplayer feature. It’s possible this is a feature being built for future updates, but we believe it may have been discarded during earlier stages of development. However, there’s a chance it could reappear in the upcoming sequel.
It’s clear that the game boasts a robust combat system, making it an exciting prospect to play cooperatively. However, you might find yourself needing to clarify certain aspects of Eve’s outfits to your friends, as her unique style may not resonate with everyone.
