This Beloved Modern Horror Romance Gets Ghoulish New Thrilljoy Figures

From the very beginning of cinema, some films haven’t found immediate success but later gain a dedicated following. This is especially common with horror movies. When people talk about “modern cult classics,” one of the first films that often comes up is Diablo Cody’s Jennifer’s Body.

More recently, writer Cody also tackled this controversial subject with the horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein, directed by Zelda Williams. Now, after a few years, fans of the vibrant “Zom-Com” can finally collect spooky merchandise based on the film.

Lisa & The Creature Come to Life

Thrilljoy is releasing vinyl figures based on the horror movie “Lisa Frankenstein,” featuring Kathryn Newton as Lisa and Cole Sprouse as The Creature. These figures are part of Thrilljoy’s PIX! Collection and come in blind boxes. The main figure is Lisa, styled as the “Goth Queen” with her sunglasses. A rarer “Chase” version of Lisa features her without sunglasses and holding her axe. Both Lisa figures wear her iconic black dress. The Creature is available only as an “Ultra Chase” figure. The regular Chase figure has a 1 in 6 chance of being found. This limited-edition set is capped at 6,666 pieces. Lisa and The Creature join Thrilljoy’s collection alongside other horror icons like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Pennywise.

Despite a brief time in theaters and a popular 80s-inspired soundtrack released on vinyl, Lisa Frankenstein didn’t receive much merchandise. It’s surprising there weren’t any collectibles like Funko Pops to keep the film’s energy alive! Now, these new figures from Thrilljoy are generating excitement. While critics were divided—the film has a 52% rating on Rotten Tomatoes—and it only earned $9.9 million worldwide, Lisa Frankenstein‘s popularity continues to grow. Its unique and touching love story resonated with audiences. The film reminded horror fans how much they enjoy a genuinely heartfelt romantic horror. These figures are a perfect reason to revisit this cult classic or experience its vibrant performances for the first time.

Where to Watch Lisa Frankenstein

You can’t stream Lisa Frankenstein on services like Netflix right now, but you can purchase the Blu-ray and digital download together from Gruv for $11.99.

New Thrilljoy figures will be available for purchase on the company’s website starting Friday, April 17th at 11 AM Eastern Time. Each figure will cost $19.99.
