Directive 8020 includes codes that unlock new parts of the story or special collectibles. These codes are often very well hidden, and can be difficult and time-consuming to find. This guide provides everything you need to solve them quickly and easily.

How To Solve The Anomaly Log Number Lock in Directive 8020?

During the “Radio Silence” part of Episode 5, while playing as Cernon, players can discover several hidden Secrets and Simms Recordings. One Secret is locked behind a terminal right above the starting stairs. To unlock it, you’ll need to find a specific Anomaly Log number.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably been searching through all the recordings and data logs for a hint. But the answer is actually quite simple. Instead of looking through menus, go through the doors beside the locked terminal and walk towards the cockpit.

When you’re inside the cockpit and pick up the Secret on the right, look to the left. You’ll find a note next to the chair, on the console. It mentions the letters “CAIF.” Don’t be confused by this – the lock actually needs numbers, not letters.

The solution is to convert each letter into its numerical position in the alphabet:

  • C = 3
  • A = 1
  • I = 9
  • F = 6

Entering CAIF now changes the code to 3196. Go back to the locked terminal and use this code to open the door. Beyond the door, you’ll find the ‘Orbital Oddities’ Secret, which gets you closer to finding all the Secrets in the game.
