The State of Play broadcast on September 24 ended with a new look at gameplay for *Marvel’s Wolverine* and a confirmed release timeframe of Fall 2026. This upcoming game is the next big project from Insomniac Games, the studio behind *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2*, and is expected to launch about three years after that title.
As the title suggests, *Marvel’s Wolverine* will let players experience the story from the perspective of James “Logan” Howlett, also known as Wolverine. The game is expected to be action-packed and receive a Mature rating. Players can also anticipate seeing other characters from the Marvel and X-Men universes, including Mystique, Omega Red, and The Sentinels. While first announced in September 2021, Insomniac Games hasn’t shared any recent updates on the game’s development. However, earlier reports suggest *Marvel’s Wolverine* is still aiming for a 2026 release.

Insomniac Games showcased a trailer featuring both gameplay and story sequences, all running on a PS5 Pro. They also announced that Liam McIntyre, known for his roles in Gears of War and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will be the voice of Wolverine in the game.
