7 Naruto Characters Who Would Lose to Boruto Uzumaki

In a surprisingly short time, Boruto Uzumaki has become incredibly powerful in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, reaching a strength level similar to that of an Otsutsuki clan member. Thanks to his quick access to the Karma mark and the various power boosts he’s gained, Boruto has already become stronger than most of the top ninja from his parents’ generation.

As a huge fan of both Naruto and Boruto, it’s honestly a little bittersweet seeing the older generation. Most of them are well past their peak, and let’s face it, Boruto‘s world has just gotten so much more powerful! While those original characters were absolute powerhouses in their day, I really think Boruto Uzumaki would take them down now. Power levels have just skyrocketed!

7. Itachi Uchiha Is No Match for Boruto’s Current Level

Itachi Uchiha is one of the most famous and powerful members of the Uchiha clan. He was an exceptionally skilled ninja who completed an incredibly difficult and dangerous mission in the series Naruto. He’s best known for his incredibly strong genjutsu, called Tsukuyomi, and his powerful Susanoo, which is equipped with the distinctive Totsuka Mirror and Yata Blade.

Even with all his skill and power, Itachi Uchiha would likely lose to Boruto Uzumaki. Boruto’s abilities, which are comparable to the Otsutsuki clan, and his vastly larger chakra reserves would give him the edge in nearly any fight.

6. Kakashi Hatake Can’t Compete With Boruto’s Otsutsuki Abilities

Kakashi Hatake is currently absent from the Two Blue Vortex manga. While he makes occasional appearances in the Boruto anime, he hasn’t appeared in the manga, and the reason for this is known only to the artist, Mikio Ikemoto.

Although there aren’t many details about Kakashi Hatake appearing in future Boruto chapters, it’s clear he’s not as strong without his Sharingan. If Kakashi fought Boruto now, Boruto wouldn’t even need to use the power of his Karma mark to win.

5. Minato Namikaze’s Skills Fall Behind Boruto’s Jutsu Innovation

Boruto Uzumaki clearly inherited a sharp battle sense, much like his grandfather, Minato. Unlike Naruto, who sometimes acts impulsively in fights, Boruto stays calm and thinks things through. This allows him to stay focused, make smart choices, and perform well even when the pressure is on.

Boruto Uzumaki has mastered techniques like his father’s Flying Raijin and even created new, complex Rasengan variations, such as Uzuhiko, which harnesses the Earth’s rotation. This demonstrates just how skilled Boruto is – he skillfully combines inherited abilities with his own unique improvements to create a fighting style all his own.

4. Madara Uchiha Is Outscaled in the Boruto Era

Madara Uchiha used to be the main villain in Naruto: Shippuden, but now he’s often remembered as a figure from the past. His actions ultimately paved the way for Kaguya Otsutsuki’s arrival during the Fourth Great Ninja War, and somewhat overshadowed his own role.

Madara Uchiha is undoubtedly one of the most powerful shinobi in Naruto history, both during the Warring States Period and beyond. However, if he were to fight Boruto Uzumaki, he would likely be defeated due to the massive difference in their strength.

3. Hashirama Senju Is the God of Shinobi But Boruto Is Beyond That Level

Hashirama Senju earned the title “God of Shinobi” through incredible power and achievements. As the first Hokage, he was unmatched, consistently defeating even formidable opponents like Madara Uchiha and single-handedly overpowering the Tailed Beasts. Throughout much of the Naruto series, he’s a truly overwhelming force.

While incredibly strong, the God of Shinobi isn’t as powerful as newer characters, particularly Boruto Uzumaki as he appears in Two Blue Vortex. With Momoshiki now letting Boruto fully use his immense power, Boruto surpasses the God of Shinobi in almost every way when it comes to modern combat ability.

2. Sasuke Uchiha Passed All His Knowledge to Boruto

Before Sasuke Uchiha was transformed into a tree in Two Blue Vortex, he completely trained Boruto Uzumaki, teaching him everything from advanced sword skills to all of Sasuke’s special moves.

Boruto learned directly from Sasuke and understands his techniques better than anyone, including what they’re good at and where they fall short. He’s also taken Sasuke’s fighting style and modified it to fit his own way of battling, making it even more effective for him.

1. Naruto Uzumaki Can’t Keep Up With Boruto Anymore

It’s common in action-packed anime for the child of the hero to become even stronger, and Boruto Uzumaki follows that trend. After Naruto stepped back, Boruto’s abilities grew significantly, allowing him to easily defeat powerful opponents like Code.

Honestly, it was devastating to see Naruto lose Kurama, and with him, that incredible Baryon Mode! Thinking about it now, if Naruto and Boruto fought with Boruto at his current Two Blue Vortex level, I really think Boruto would win. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but Boruto has gotten so strong.
