As a result of an oversight after an EA App update, details about the upcoming expansion pack for The Sims 4 and important information regarding what to expect until the end of the year were inadvertently shared with the community. Although the base games of The Sims typically contain a wealth of content, the expansions significantly enhance them. The number of expansions has grown substantially with each new addition to the series, with The Sims 4 currently boasting a total of 20 expansions.
For more than ten years, The Sims 4 has been available, yet its creators consistently update it and provide new content to maintain its appeal for fans. Recently, in July 2025, the complete expansion pack titled “Enchanted by Nature” was released for The Sims 4. Following this release, two additional creator kits were introduced, further expanding the collection of downloadable content. Despite anticipation being low for a new The Sims 4 expansion pack, it appears that more DLC is on the way.
EA Accidentally Reveals New Expansion Pack
As a passionate Sims enthusiast, I was thrilled when I noticed an update on my EA App on August 28th. To my surprise, it appeared that during this update, EA accidentally leaked details about an upcoming expansion pack, new kits, and events for the remainder of the year! Alas, the announcement link led to nowhere, leaving fans only with screenshots of the exciting revelations.
Interestingly, a trusted insider known as MedievalKiller12 had earlier shared a roadmap for The Sims 4, which bears striking resemblance to the leaked post. With this leak and MedievalKiller12’s previous insights, we now have a clear vision of what lies ahead for The Sims 4 until the end of 2025.
Unfortunately, it seems that the account of MedievalKiller12 has since been deactivated, but their contributions to our community will not be forgotten! Let’s keep our fingers crossed and eagerly await further official announcements from EA.

Based on leaked information about The Sims 4’s roadmap, it appears that a new expansion pack will be unveiled on September 4. This will likely be followed by an event starting on September 23, much like how the Nature’s Calling event teased the launch of Enchanted by Nature. If everything goes as planned, we can expect the expansion pack to be released on October 2 during the ongoing event. Furthermore, it seems there may also be additional free updates and kits for the base game throughout the remainder of the year.

Following the leak of the roadmap, there’s been buzz in the community about an upcoming expansion pack, tentatively named “Adventure Awaits.” If accurate, this pack is expected to share a feel with the Outdoor Retreat game pack. Preliminary indications suggest that archery might be a new skill introduced with this pack, and it seems that imaginary friends could reappear in The Sims. While the gameplay potential is vast, for now gamers are left waiting for further updates from EA. Fortunately, if the expansion pack is officially announced on September 4th, they won’t have to wait too much longer as a reveal trailer for “Adventure Awaits” should follow soon.
