Cronos The New Dawn: Altar Puzzle in the Chapel (Hospital)

Following the retrieval of your second objective within “Cronos: The New Dawn”, your subsequent mission involves navigating towards the Hospital, found in Sector A-0. This journey to the hospital in this survival horror game will not be a brief one and will include one of its toughest foe encounters, so players should ready themselves for the challenge ahead.

Within the Hospital, to your right, you’ll discover a tranquil sanctuary, often referred to as the Chapel room. Here, you can locate the standard healing station and workstation. However, what might perplex many players is the unusual altar in this room, along with the mystery surrounding how to interact with it and open the door situated next to it. To help you navigate through this conundrum in ‘Cronos: The New Dawn’, here’s a guide to solving the puzzle.

What To Do at the Altar in the Chapel in Cronos: The New Dawn

In the game, the hospital sector asks you to search for three crucial formulas essential for the production of the toxin. The sequence is structured, meaning you must obtain them in a particular order. As you approach the first formula, you’ll encounter a significant enemy guarding a long corridor, signaling that you’re near not only the first formula but also the initial piece of the puzzle needed for the altar. Ensure you eliminate all enemies within the vicinity. Proceed with caution as certain rooms may harbor repulsive creatures.

Additionally, you can acquire Energy not only by vanquishing adversaries or smashing wooden crates, but also it plays a crucial role in unlocking advancements.

For now, disregard the primary task and make your way to the Personnel room first. In there, you should discover the code to the director’s office, which is 9509. Once outside, take a right in the hallway, and to your right, you will find the Director’s office. Approach it, enter the given code to unlock the door, and you’ll reach the main room where you can spot the Chalice on your left side.

What To Do With the Chalice in Cronos: The New Dawn?

Now that you’ve obtained the first Chalice and your Access Pass, it’s time for you to navigate towards the Operations Sector. This area can be reached via Wing B. You may recall a door leading to the Operations Sector in the past, but without the Access Pass, you were compelled to stick to your main mission back then.

As you enter using the card, you’ll notice numerous foes sprawled on the floor, ready to engage when you approach them. Proceed to the opposite end of the area where you’ll encounter a metal cabinet that needs to be moved in order to advance further. Inside, you’ll come across a cat and the Vasculum conveniently placed near the window.

Bring these two items to the altar area so you can set them down there to retrieve the Chapel Backroom Key. Once you have the key, use it to open the door beside the chapel. Inside that room, you’ll discover some useful resources and the Mace JER-5120 – a powerful double-barreled shotgun.

This weapon is missable if you are focusing only on the main story of the game.
