Developers at Firaxis, makers of Civilization 7, are undergoing layoffs. Several affected staff members have shared on social media platforms that they’ve been terminated from the company.
Among those who were released from the company are writer Emma Kidwell, producer Maya H, lead character artist Matthew Davis, and others.
Hi there! This morning, I sadly lost my job at Firaxis, but I’ve been responsible for creating scriptlines for Civilization VII (under a non-disclosure agreement currently) as well as characters like Deadpool and Storm in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
