The post contains spoilers for One Piece.
In the world of One Piece, the four most dominant pirates are known as the Yonko. They wield significant power and lead vast crews. Among these, Blackbeard stands out as the most mysterious and perhaps the most captivating. He rose to become a Yonko swiftly, thanks to his strategic thinking.
It’s quite captivating to witness the astounding ascent of Blackbeard, climbing up the ranks to a formidable Yonko. Even though he has instilled fear in many, the rationale behind his actions still eludes us. The extent of his power is yet to be revealed, but Eiichiro Oda has subtly hinted at how the Yonko might eventually be brought down.
Blackbeard Is One Of The Strongest Characters In One Piece
Blackbeard Has Two Devil Fruits

- Blackbeard Has Two Devil Fruits
- Blackbeard Can Also Use Two Types Of Haki
Blackbeard holds two exceptionally potent Devil Fruits from the world of One Piece. The first one he consumed was the Yami Yami no Mi, a Logia-type fruit granting him mastery over darkness. This power allows him to envelop entire towns in darkness, which possesses an incredibly strong gravitational force capable of shattering various objects. However, the most remarkable aspect of the Yami Yami no Mi is its ability to neutralize the effects of other Devil Fruits.
Blackbeard acquired the Rumbling Fruit during the Great Summit War. This Devil Fruit enables him to generate quakes powerful enough to obliterate an entire island with ease. Moreover, the Rumbling Fruit enhances his defenses by allowing him to use a tremor as a shield against incoming attacks.

From my vantage point, it’s evident that Blackbeard possesses more than just formidable Devil Fruits; his Haki is mighty too. A case in point: he once managed to thwart a strike from S-Hawk, a force so potent it could cleave a mountain’s peak with a single sword swipe. Given that feat, the fact Blackbeard was able to block the attack without a scratch underscores his exceptional Haki mastery. With such a vast arsenal of abilities at his command, one can’t help but ponder how he might be defeated.
Blackbeard Belongs To The Davy Family
The Davy Family Existed 800 Years Ago

More casually, it has been unveiled that Blackbeard is actually the son of Rocks D. Xebec, a once-prominent member of the mysterious and powerful Davy clan. Due to their family being on the brink of extinction at the hands of the World Government, Rocks had to conceal his true lineage. This means that Blackbeard is part of the esteemed Davy Bloodline as well. While author Oda hasn’t yet fully revealed the secrets surrounding the Davy family, more information will be shared in the future.
Fate Has Chosen Me To Conquer This World. —Blackbeard
In Panel 1159 of Chapter 1159, Ochoko appeared to be counting money while the rest of the Rocks Pirates were disheartened due to news of Shakky’s abduction. It seems highly suspicious that Ochoko might have been involved in her kidnapping. Perhaps he informed the World Government about Shakky’s location, or possibly even handed her over himself.
Fans are aware that Rocks Pirates journeyed to God Valley in an attempt to free Shakky from the Celestial Dragons, but unfortunately, they were defeated, causing the group to disperse. Later, Blackbeard exacted retribution against Ochoko by removing him from Hachinosu.

It seems that, in the Egghead storyline, Blackbeard might have made a significant blunder by meeting with someone who looks like Ochoko – let’s call him Caribou. There is even speculation that Caribou could be Ochoko’s offspring. Since Blackbeard expelled Ochoko, it’s likely that Caribou would be eager to take revenge on his father’s behalf. As Caribou draws nearer to Blackbeard and gains his confidence, he may find an opportune moment to turn against the Yonko.
In a possible turn of events, Caribou might betray Blackbeard to the World Government, seeking vengeance. However, at this point in the story, it’s just speculation. As the narrative unfolds further, we may learn more about any potential connection between Caribou and Ochoko.
As an ardent follower of our epic tales, let me say that if I, Caribou, remain loyal to Blackbeard, I could become an irreplaceable asset on his side. I’ve got my fingers on some top-secret knowledge that could potentially give Blackbeard the upper hand in his quest for global domination.
I’m privy to details about Poseidon and Pluton, powerful artifacts if you will, and should I divulge this information to him, Blackbeard would stand a real chance at claiming them. Now isn’t that an exhilarating prospect? The world could be our oyster!
