September 26th is shaping up to be an exciting day for Battlefield 6 enthusiasts, as publisher EA has announced their attendance at Tokyo Game Show 2025. During this event, they will offer a more detailed sneak peek into the shooter’s single-player campaign, which fans have been eagerly anticipating. With the launch of Battlefield 6 quickly approaching, fans have already had opportunities to try out the multiplayer aspect during open beta weekends. However, they haven’t gotten a closer look at its campaign yet. But that’s all set to change soon.
The Battlefield series has been missing for four years, with its last installment leaving a bitter taste due to numerous bugs, the elimination of classic elements, lackluster content at release, and more. However, EA and DICE are making amends with Battlefield 6, as the upcoming game is already setting records. Last month, these studios offered fans an opportunity to try out Battlefield 6 during multiple open beta weekends. These trials were highly successful, earning the shooter a multitude of accolades and securing its position as the largest Battlefield beta ever held.
Battlefield 6 Campaign Will Be Shown at Tokyo Game Show
Many fans have been anxiously waiting to learn more about the campaign of Battlefield 6, as only brief teaser trailers have been released so far. Fortunately, it appears that this wait might soon be over, since publisher EA has announced its attendance at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2025. According to the event schedule (via Gematsu), EA intends to reveal more of the game’s campaign during a single-player live showcase. The official description for the showcase states that the developers and English voice actors of Battlefield 6 will present the upcoming first-person shooter, providing a glimpse into the single-player story mode. This presentation is expected to include executive special producer Phillipe Ducharme and senior creative director Roman Campos-Oriola.
In the absence of a single-player campaign in Battlefield 2042, fans are eagerly anticipating its return in Battlefield 6. A more detailed unveiling is scheduled for later this month, and two of the game’s main developers have previously mentioned which films and TV shows have influenced the campaign for Battlefield 6. As per Creative Director Roman Campos-Oriola, the American spy thriller series Lioness, starring Morgan Freeman and Zoe Saldana, was a significant influence. Similarly, Senior Producer Philippe Ducharme found inspiration in Alex Garland’s Civil War.
Before the announcement of Battlefield 6, there were rumors suggesting it might continue the trend set by 2042 and not include a single-player mode. Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. With Battlefield 6 preparing to compete against Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, it will need every advantage if it hopes to dethrone the most popular first-person shooter ever. And indeed, Battlefield 6 is already looking promising, as its open beta attracted more concurrent players on Steam than any Call of Duty game has before. However, the true test will occur in a few weeks, when Battlefield 6 releases on October 10, followed by Black Ops 7 on November 14.
