Awesome news for Game Pass subscribers! They just added *Endless Legend 2* to the library, and it’s available to play right now! It’s the ninth game added this September, and the 117th new title we’ve gotten through Game Pass Ultimate so far this year. Seriously, this service is incredible!
I first got into *Endless Legend* when it came out in September 2014. It’s a 4X strategy game where you build up a fantasy empire – you can win by conquering others, making friends, or focusing on tech. It was a huge hit, earning tons of awards and really positive reviews – OpenCritic gave it an 84, and 86% of critics recommended it, which is awesome! Fast forward almost a decade, and Amplitude Studios announced *Endless Legend 2* in January 2025. They’re planning to release it in early access later this year, and I’m already hyped to try it out!
Endless Legend 2 Releases Day One on Xbox Game Pass
The highly anticipated sequel, *Endless Legend 2*, was released today, September 22nd, on Steam, the Microsoft Store, and through Xbox Game Pass. Similar to the original game, it’s only available on PC and isn’t supported by Xbox Cloud Gaming, meaning a desktop computer is required to play. As with other games launching on Microsoft’s subscription services, you’ll need a PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership to access it.
When Will Endless Legend 2 Come to Xbox Game Pass Standard?
New games added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate usually become available to standard Game Pass subscribers after six months to a year. However, it’s unclear if *Endless Legend 2* will follow this timeline, as it might not be released on Xbox consoles. The standard Game Pass tier isn’t available on PC, so without a version for Xbox Series X/S, the game wouldn’t qualify for release on that tier. The first *Endless Legend* game is only available on Windows and macOS, and its sequel is expected to stay in early access for at least half a year.
Xbox Game Pass will be getting four new games before the end of September 2025. First up is *Sworn* on September 23rd, then *Peppa Pig: World Adventures* and *Visions of Mana* on September 25th. Finally, *Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light* will be added on September 30th.

On September 30th, Xbox Game Pass will remove four games, including both *Ninja Gaiden Sigma* titles and *Terra Invicta*. We expect to hear about the next wave of Game Pass games for October around October 7th, based on Microsoft’s usual release schedule.
