PC gamers can now get *Very Realistic Game Dev Simulator* for free! This brief simulation lives up to its name and is available to keep until September 25th. September has already been a great month for free games on PC, and this is another opportunity to expand your library – but don’t wait too long to claim it.
Right now, the Epic Games Store is offering two games for free: *Project Winter* and *Samorost 2*. Meanwhile, Steam has a free adventure game called *Away*, but you need to claim it before September 24th. Also, a new indie game is available as part of these promotions from the creators of the popular 2024 psychological horror game, *Cherophobia*.
‘Very Realistic Game Dev Simulator’ Is a Short Game About Making Games
Worst Event Games has created a short, first-person game called *Very Realistic Game Dev Simulator*. The game focuses on simulating the experience of game development, including fixing bugs and glitches, using a virtual PC. It’s currently available for free on Itch.io until September 25th, after which it will cost around $2. Players who enjoy the game can support the developers with donations.
Developer Worst Event Games is known for indie horror games, but their new simulation is different. Their previous game, *Cherophobia*, was popular with streamers like CaseOh and received good reviews on Steam. Now, *Very Realistic Game Dev Simulator* is getting positive attention, especially from people who actually work in game development. One player on Itch.io said it perfectly captured the reality of development, including “bugs, doubts, and endless chaos.”
