The Early Access release for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, initially planned for 2025, has been delayed until sometime in 2026. No exact release date within 2026 has been revealed yet.

To celebrate 30 years of the Might & Magic series, Ubisoft has released a demo for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era on Steam.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, the latest game in the popular turn-based strategy series, was revealed at Gamescom 2024. It’s the eighth installment and the first new release since Might & Magic Heroes VII came out in 2015.

At launch, the game includes six distinct factions: Temple, Necropolis, Sylvan, Dungeon, Hive, and Schism. Players can enjoy a variety of game modes, such as a full campaign, randomly generated maps, custom-built levels, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer featuring classic, single-hero, and arena styles.

For the first time ever in this game series, you can easily find and play with others online thanks to a new matchmaking system that quickly connects you to games.

Originally, the game was planned to release in the second quarter of 2025, but the launch was pushed back in June to sometime later in the year. The developers, Unfrozen, explained that this delay was to allow them to fully polish and refine the game, ensuring it meets their quality standards.

We’ve always aimed to make something exceptional, and that requires careful development and refinement. As a small independent team, we need a little more time to fully prepare for the launch of our Early Access version.
