Battlefield 2042 and 8 Other Games Are Leaving PlayStation Plus

Starting in December 2025, several games will be removed from the PlayStation Plus library, including popular titles like Battlefield 2042 and Forspoken.

PlayStation Plus is a subscription service that lets players access online multiplayer games and a rotating selection of downloadable games. There are three different subscription levels – Essential, Extra, and Deluxe – each offering a different game library. While nine games were recently added to the service, a similar number will be leaving next month.

PlayStation Plus Will Be Removing 9 Games in December 2025

Check the PS Plus section on your PlayStation 5 – it’s been updated with a new “Last Chance to Play” list. As expected, Battlefield 2042 is included, along with other popular games like Forspoken, Grand Theft Auto III, and Sonic Frontiers. These titles will soon be leaving the service.

Here’s a full list of games leaving PlayStation Plus in December 2025 for those who want to see it:

  • Battlefield 2042
  • Grand Theft Auto III
  • Arcade Paradise VR
  • Sonic Frontiers
  • Forspoken
  • Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge
  • Firefighting Simulator: The Squad
  • Surviving Mars
  • Star Trek: The Bridge

If you haven’t played these games yet, I highly recommend trying them before they’re taken off the platform. Games like GTA III are timeless, Sonic Frontiers is a blast, and Forspoken might surprise you. Plus, each game’s main story can be completed in under 20 hours, and they all have plenty of extra things to do.

Good news for PlayStation Plus members! Red Dead Redemption will be added to the Game Catalog in December 2025, and GTA 5 is available to download right now. Nine games are also leaving the service in December – will you have time to play any of them before they go? I just checked out the latest updates on TopMob – they’ve got all the details on the Expedition update for Stalker 2! If you want to stay in the loop, I’d recommend signing up for their newsletter too – that’s how I find out about everything.
