Outposts Explained in Where Winds Meet

As you explore the game world, you’ll come across various locations, including Outposts. These are areas controlled by enemy forces. It’s a good idea to capture them, as you’ll receive special rewards the first time you do, and you can recapture them for more rewards later.
Claiming the daily rewards costs 20 Energy, which is like the game’s stamina. This Energy automatically refills over time. You’ll also need to finish a unique task at each fort you visit, and completing these tasks helps you explore the region more fully.
Best Ways To Clear Outposts in Where Winds Meet
There are several ways to reduce the number of enemies and simplify combat in these forts. A key strategy is to collect as many Fire Arrows as you can. These arrows let you safely blow up explosive barrels from afar, which will both damage enemies and draw their attention away from you.
It’s best to focus on stealth early in the game. Use abilities like Veil of Stillness to sneak around, and combine them with Touch of Death and Blinding Mist to become even better at hiding and taking down enemies quietly. Touch of Death is especially useful for quickly eliminating weaker foes, which can help when you’re outnumbered.
Note: Some forts will also get easier based on dialogue choices made before they start.
Rewards From Outposts in Where Winds Meet
As we discussed earlier, each Outpost offers two kinds of rewards. First, there are the rewards you get only once:
- Constitution
- Dragon Key
- Medicinal Tales
- Oscillating Jade
- Region Exploration Level Increased
Besides what we’ve already covered, you can find blueprints for weapons, learn special skills called Inner Arts, and earn other goodies at various Outposts. But the items we just talked about appear to be available at every Outpost you visit.
Meanwhile, you can get the following rewards by spending 20 Energy every time.
- Gear
- Outpost Cosmetic Chest
- Character EXP
- Crimson Leaves Chest
- Lv. 1 Ebon Iron
- Oscillating Jade
- Zhou Coin
That was everything to know about Outposts in Where Winds Meet.
