Square Enix is teaming up with Aspyr to bring the classic Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition to both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.
Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about games coming to the new Nintendo Switch 2. We’ve heard rumors about big titles like Grand Theft Auto 6 being tested for the console, and the developers of Helldivers have also mentioned a potential port. But now, there’s confirmed news: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is available to buy for both the original Switch and the new Switch 2, released unexpectedly!
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Will Receive Special Discounts for Switch and Switch 2 Launch
The game is launching with several discounts for players. From now until November 24th, the game will be 10% off its regular price of $19.99. If you already own the remastered versions of the original Tomb Raider games (I-III) on Nintendo Switch, you’ll get an extra 10% off. Similarly, owners of the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered on Nintendo Switch will also receive an additional 10% discount.
If you own both the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and IV-VI Remastered games on Nintendo Switch, you can save 30% by purchasing them together as a bundle. This special offer is available in North America from November 18th to 25th, and in Europe, Australia, and other regions from November 21st to 28th.
What’s Included in the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for Switch and Switch 2?
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition offers a ton of content, especially for Nintendo Switch. It includes all previously released downloadable content (DLC), plus extra outfits for Lara Croft, several multiplayer maps and characters, and an 8-player online multiplayer mode. As a bonus, you’ll also get digital extras like the Tomb Raider comic, an art book, and a behind-the-scenes video series about the game’s development.
Also, Sophie Turner will be playing Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider series coming to Prime Video.
