Xbox Game Pass is adding five new games in December 2025, and we can expect even more announcements next week. Each month, Game Pass gets updated with fresh titles across all subscription levels, but the Ultimate tier offers the best value. With Game Pass Ultimate, you can play a huge library of games on both Xbox and PC, including brand-new releases as soon as they come out.
Xbox Game Pass has had a fantastic 2025, with a strong lineup of day one releases. The first six months of the year featured critically praised titles like Blue Prince and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The latter half of the year brought highly anticipated indie hit Hollow Knight: Silksong, alongside major releases such as Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, and the recently launched Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Even though the year is almost over, Game Pass subscribers still have several exciting new games to look forward to before 2026. So far, five games are confirmed for December 2025. It starts with the co-op game Marvel Cosmic Invasion on December 1st, followed by the story-focused adventure Lost Records: Bloom & Rage on December 2nd. PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate members can then experience the highly anticipated sci-fi horror game Routine on December 4th. December 9th will bring two more titles: A Game About Digging A Hole and Dome Keeper.

As you might guess, A Game About Digging a Hole is exactly what it sounds like – a game where you dig a hole! It came out on Steam earlier this year and has been well-received, making it a great choice for Game Pass. Dome Keeper is a different kind of game – a fast-paced action platformer with a retro art style reminiscent of the classic Metroid series.
With those games and the cooperative action of Marvel Cosmic Invasion, December 2025 is shaping up to be a great month for Game Pass. Plus, this isn’t everything! More games coming to Game Pass in December 2025 will be revealed next week, so subscribers should stay tuned for updates.

While some great new games are coming to Game Pass soon, a few titles are leaving on November 30th. These include Barbie Project Friendship, the 2023 version of Lords of the Fallen, both Octopath Traveler games, and SteamWorld Build. It’s probably too late to finish these games before they go, especially the lengthy Octopath Traveler titles, but Game Pass subscribers still have a chance to try them out before potentially buying them.
