It was also my introduction to streaming. Over the last decade, I’ve really connected with the characters – Eleven, her friends, and the people of Hawkins – and even the monsters! They’ve given me strength and inspired me to keep going.

Watching the characters develop felt very personal, because I was going through my own challenges at the same time, trying to figure things out just like they were. It’s bittersweet knowing I’ve reached the end of their story, but I know I can always revisit this world whenever I want.

This isn’t a story about endings. Instead, it’s about how stories live on inside us. Like the game Dungeons & Dragons, which bookends the narrative, the heart of the story isn’t lost – we can always revisit those characters and that world in our imaginations, and create new adventures whenever we want.

The stories we carry within us will never truly end. They’ll continue to unfold and connect, as long as we remember them. That feeling of connection, that sense of ‘here,’ will always remain. Thank you, Stranger Things.
