Pokemon LEGO Sets Are Already Being Sold by Scalpers

LEGO’s new Pokémon sets are already selling for much more than their original price on eBay, even though they were just revealed. LEGO is releasing three Pokémon-themed sets—Pikachu, Eevee, and a set featuring Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. There are also two sets you can’t buy directly: a Mini Pokémon Center set for LEGO Insiders members, and a Kanto Region Badge Collection available only as a free gift with purchase from the Pokémon Center website. These free gifts are what people are mostly reselling on eBay at inflated prices.

With both LEGO and Pokémon being incredibly popular, it’s no surprise that the new LEGO Pokémon sets are already being targeted by people who resell them for a profit. Pokémon products, especially trading cards, have often been resold at inflated prices, and unfortunately, LEGO fans looking forward to these new sets may face the same difficulties when they’re released next month.

Scaplers Have Their Sights Set on LEGO Pokemon Sets

Looking on eBay, LEGO Pokémon sets are selling for much more than their original prices on the Pokémon Center and LEGO websites. For example, the LEGO Pikachu set is listed for around $350, and the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set is going for $1,000. The most sought-after set seems to be the Pokémon Center exclusive Kanto Gym Badge Collection, with prices ranging from $100 to $250.

All LEGO Pokemon Sets and Their MSRPs

  • LEGO Pikachu – $199.99
  • LEGO Eevee – $59.99
  • LEGO Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise – $649.99
  • LEGO Kanto Gym Badge Collection – Free Gift with Purchase from the Pokemon Center
  • LEGO Mini Pokemon Center – LEGO Insider reward (2500 Points)

Collecting LEGOs can be a costly hobby, and the new LEGO Pokémon sets are already considered pricey. Despite this, some people are reselling pre-orders for even more money. The Kanto Gym Badge Collection is especially popular, likely because it’s a limited edition and will probably be difficult to get later on.

These eBay listings are for items you can pre-order, but you won’t receive the LEGO Pokemon sets until they are officially released in February.

If you’re hoping to pre-order the new Pokémon LEGO sets, you might have trouble finding some. While the Pikachu and Eevee sets are still in stock on the Pokémon Center and LEGO websites, the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise sets have already sold out. This lack of availability from official stores is likely why some fans are paying higher prices to resellers on eBay, especially for limited-edition items like the Kanto Gym Badge Collection, which is currently out of stock.

It’s frustrating to see the new Pokémon products being resold online at inflated prices, but it’s still going to be a great year for Pokémon fans! The franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and there are several exciting things to look forward to, including new video games like Pokémon Pokopia and Pokémon Champions, as well as the upcoming Gen 10 games. Trading card game players can anticipate the Ascended Heroes and Perfect Order releases on January 30th and March 27th, respectively. And for LEGO fans, the Pikachu and Eevee sets are still available for pre-order before their release on February 27, 2026.
