Gogeta is widely considered the most powerful Saiyan and the strongest character created through Fusion in Dragon Ball Super – potentially even stronger than the Gods. His immense power comes from the intense rivalry between Goku and Vegeta, which greatly amplifies the already significant boost provided by Fusion. This results in a fighter capable of shattering dimensions and instantly defeating some of Dragon Ball‘s most formidable villains.
Gogeta remains undefeated across any universe he appears in. While Goku and Vegeta are often reluctant to fuse, resulting in fewer versions of Gogeta compared to individual Goku and Vegeta, those Gogeta forms are incredibly powerful. Whether in Dragon Ball Z, DBGT, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, or Dragon Ball Super, Gogeta consistently demonstrates ultimate power, solidifying Goku and Vegeta’s status as the best duo in anime history.
7. DBZ Gogeta Has a Power Level of 2,500,000,000
Dragon Ball Z
Gogeta first appeared at the climax of Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, created when Goku and Vegeta fused to fight Super Janemba. As a Super Saiyan, Gogeta quickly and decisively defeated Janemba, ultimately destroying him with his powerful Soul Punisher (also known as the Stardust Breaker) attack. While Vegito enjoyed toying with Buuhan, Super Saiyan Gogeta immediately demonstrated his overwhelming strength to Janemba.
In Dragon Ball Z, Super Saiyan Gogeta is incredibly powerful, with a recorded Power Level of 2.5 billion – the highest in the series. This version of Gogeta, created by Toei Animation, only appears in the movie Fusion Reborn. Interestingly, it’s considered the same Gogeta as the one from Dragon Ball GT, although this creates a continuity issue since Fusion Reborn doesn’t fit within Toei’s anime timeline. Originally, Akira Toriyama planned for Goku and Vegeta to fuse into Gogeta to battle Buuhan, but Toei Animation created Fusion Reborn first, leading Toriyama to instead create the character Vegito.
6. GT Gogeta is the Strongest Warrior in His Universe
Dragon Ball GT
Gogeta in Dragon Ball GT is easily the most powerful character in the series. His Super Saiyan 4 form is so strong that he completely overpowers Omega Shenron. If Gogeta had been truly focused, he could have defeated Omega almost immediately. However, like Gotenks, Gogeta enjoys playing around, which ends up wasting his limited fusion time.
It’s notable that Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta has red hair, similar to the Super Saiyan God form, while his usual hair color is black like Goku and Vegeta. Although he can’t use God Ki in Dragon Ball GT, it isn’t a weakness – he’s simply incredibly powerful. SSJ4 Gogeta is the only character who significantly harms Omega Shenron, and he consistently ranks among the strongest characters in any video game he’s featured in.
5. EX-Gogeta Can Pull Off God-Level Feats in His Base Form
Dragon Ball Fusions
EX-Fusion is a unique type of fusion introduced in Dragon Ball Fusions. It’s achieved by using a Metamo-Ring and performing the Fusion Dance, creating a powerful combination that offers the advantages of both Potara Earrings and the traditional Fusion Dance. Unlike other fusion methods, EX-Fusion doesn’t have a time limit, but it requires the users to manually separate, which slightly reduces their overall power. Even with this drawback, characters like EX-Gogeta remain incredibly strong.
EX-Gogeta is unique among Gogeta forms because he never becomes a Super Saiyan, fighting only in his base form. Even so, he’s incredibly powerful – classified as a G-Rank fighter, putting him on par with strong characters like Super Saiyan Blue Vegito and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. If he could transform, he’d likely surpass almost all other versions of Vegito and Gogeta. Thankfully, he doesn’t, as that might make him too powerful for the series.
4. Dark Gogeta Effortlessly Killed Omega Shenron
Super Dragon Ball Heroes
Fin is a character from Super Dragon Ball Heroes who was created by Towa. He’s an Android Majin with the unique ability to absorb the fighting data of anyone he touches. During the Dark King Mechikabura Saga, Fin absorbs the data of Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, transforming himself into Dark Gogeta – a frightening, purple version of Xeno Gogeta.
Dark Gogeta is unique because he isn’t created through the standard fusion dance used by Goku and Vegeta. He possesses the same powers and abilities as Xeno Gogeta. Even while being controlled, Xeno Gogeta is far more powerful than Fin, easily overpowering him – similar to how Vegito completely dominated Buuhan.

3. Xeno Gogeta Can Use the Strongest Version of Super Saiyan 4
Super Dragon Ball Heroes
Xeno Gogeta is created when Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta perform the Fusion Dance. He’s considered one of the most powerful versions of Gogeta across all universes. However, he’s unique because he comes from a timeline where Goku and Vegeta had a different experience – similar to the events in Dragon Ball GT – instead of the story seen in Dragon Ball Super.
Xeno Gogeta has access to incredibly powerful forms, including the strongest versions of Super Saiyan 4 like Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker and Super Saiyan 4 Kaioken. He’s strong enough to beat opponents like Transcended Demon God Xeno Omega Shenron and Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Broly. While not the absolute strongest Gogeta, Xeno Gogeta is remarkably close in power.
2. Canon Gogeta is One of the Most Powerful Fusions in Dragon Ball History
Dragon Ball Super
After 23 years, Gogeta officially became part of the main Dragon Ball story when Akira Toriyama included him in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly. This version of Gogeta is considered the strongest fusion character in the official Dragon Ball universe, and hints suggest he could even defeat Beerus.
Originally, Akira Toriyama planned for the final fight between Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta and Broly in Dragon Ball Super: Broly to take place on the sun, with Gogeta feeling no pain from the heat. The final version of the movie changed this; instead, Gogeta’s incredible power rips open a dimension, and they battle in another world. While not necessarily the absolute strongest form, the version of Gogeta seen in the movie is incredibly powerful.
1. Capsule Corp. Gogeta is Arguably the Strongest Character in the Entire Dragon Ball Franchise
Super Dragon Ball Heroes
Capsule Corp. Goku and Vegeta are alternate versions of the characters Goku and Vegeta. They’ve lived through all the events of the Dragon Ball series, including Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, most of the DBZ movies, and the Broly movie. When they fuse, they become Capsule Corp. Gogeta, an incredibly powerful warrior who jokingly refers to himself as a “cheat code.” Facing Capsule Corp. Vegeta in battle is almost certain death.
CC Gogeta is considered the most powerful version of Gogeta in the entire Dragon Ball series, and potentially the strongest character and fusion ever. During the Universal Conflict Saga in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, he easily defeats Hearts in his most powerful form, completely destroying the Universe Seed that Hearts created. This ability to destroy a Universe Seed is far beyond anything else we’ve seen in the official Dragon Ball story, and suggests even Beerus wouldn’t be able to defeat him.
