Man, the Xbox 360 era was seriously awesome. It was a huge part of my childhood, and a lot of my friends feel the same way. We were spoiled with some incredible RPGs back then – I still think about those games and how good they were, both the way they played and the stories they told. They really stuck with me.

What I loved most about the Xbox 360 era was how purely enjoyable the games were. It feels like the last time game developers prioritized fun over constantly trying to innovate. It could be nostalgia, but it really seemed like a golden age for gaming.

The Xbox 360 remains a truly excellent console, and arguably Microsoft’s best to date. If you’re interested in playing classic role-playing games (RPGs) on it, here’s a list of 10 great options that are enjoyable right from the beginning.
