Pokemon Pokopia received a new update on April 22, 2026! This patch, called “Update 1.0.4,” adds a feature players have been asking for – improvements to Pokemon Centers – and fixes several bugs in the relaxing Pokemon life-simulation game.
Launched on March 5th, Pokemon Pokopia—a collaboration between the creators of Pokemon (Game Freak) and Omega Force (Koei Tecmo)—has been a huge success. It quickly became one of the year’s highest-rated games, earning an average critic score of 90 on OpenCritic, and sold over 2 million copies worldwide in just four days. While the game was already very well-made at launch, the developers have released three updates to address and fix any bugs players encountered, focusing on improving the experience rather than adding new features.
Pokopia’s Latest Update Adds Long-Requested Pokemon Center Feature
The newest update for Pokemon Pokopia (version 1.0.4), as explained on the Nintendo Support website, mainly fixes bugs, similar to past updates. However, it also includes a highly requested feature: players can now move their Pokemon Centers even during in-game events. Previously, players had to wait until an event finished before relocating their Pokemon Center, but now they have the freedom to move it at any time.
Information about potential new areas coming to the Pokémon world in a downloadable expansion has recently appeared online. Here’s what’s been revealed:
- Viridian Area: Never-ending burning forest of ash
- Cerulean Area: A flooded city that has a hidden treasure
- Cinnabar Area: Forever sealed, dead volcano Island
- Lavender Area: Rotten tower that reaches heaven
- Celedon Area: A giant crater that reaches an unseeable depth
The leaked information suggests these areas will be released gradually, one after another, instead of all at once.
The latest Pokopia update includes several improvements for Pokémon Centers. It fixes a bug where decorations would float after rebuilding a Center during an event, and another that prevented trades on Cloud Islands during events. The update also resolves an issue that sometimes caused the game to freeze when using a Pokémon Center PC.
This April update for Pokemon Pokopia includes several fixes for Bleak Beach. We’ve resolved a problem that was blocking progress on the “Wanted: Food!” quest, and fixed an issue with the “Pool repair needed!” quest where players couldn’t start it under certain circumstances. We also fixed a bug where Happiny wouldn’t follow the player, which was also preventing progress on that quest.

For example, Professor Tangrowth will now appear as expected, and several quest bugs involving Peakychu, Chef Dente, and Tinkmaster have been resolved. Additionally, a frustrating bug that caused indestructible platforms to remain after picking up a relocation kit has been fixed.
