LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Leaked Ten Days Early

We previously reported that files for the upcoming game Forza Horizon 6 were accidentally released online, allowing some players to access the full game early on Steam. It now appears this may have been caused by a reviewer rather than a mistake by the developers. Now, another big game set to release in May, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, has also been leaked online before its official launch.

Some Xbox players were able to start playing LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight ten days early, according to a report from Video Games Chronicle. A few players shared screenshots and videos on the r/LegoGaming subreddit showing they had full access to the game. It appears Xbox mistakenly sent a notification saying the pre-ordered and pre-loaded game was ‘ready to play,’ allowing them to launch it before its official release date.

The problem has now been resolved, and Xbox players are seeing messages confirming the full game won’t be playable until its official release date. Despite this, some players were able to access the game early, and footage – including potential spoilers – has been circulating online.

The description for the game reads:

Experience the story of Batman, from Bruce Wayne’s early training with the League of Shadows to his rise as Gotham City’s protector. Watch him build a team of allies – including Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl – and battle a growing list of iconic villains like The Joker, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Bane.
