As night falls, the game really comes alive – and gets much scarier. Enemies become relentless, forcing you to be far more cautious. Combine that with a captivating story, and you’ll find it hard to stop playing, wanting just a little more each time. Even if you’ve played solo, I highly recommend experiencing it with friends. It dramatically changes the difficulty and creates hilarious, chaotic moments.
BioShock
Mind Over Matter

BioShock is famous for its incredibly immersive world, Rapture. It’s not just beautiful to look at, but also powerfully represents a society falling apart due to its own beliefs. The game starts with you knowing very little, and gradually reveals your role in the story. Just when you think you understand what’s happening, a surprising twist completely changes everything.
The game’s combat is dynamic, requiring players to master different weapons and skills to stay ahead and prevent being overwhelmed. Success depends on adaptability and a willingness to explore and uncover the game’s mysteries. I only recently finished the BioShock series after owning it for years, and now I understand why it’s so highly regarded – it truly deserves its place among the best games ever made.
DOOM Eternal

Players need to constantly switch between firearms – using long-range weapons to take down flying enemies, then quickly getting close to restock, and repeating the process in each new level. If you’re a fan of fast-paced “boomer shooter” games and want a top-tier experience, then DOOM Eternal is the game to play.

Unlike most shooters where moving feels like an afterthought, here, jumping, sliding, and running on walls are your most effective abilities. Whether you’re playing the campaign or engaging in player-versus-player combat, the feeling of mastery is incredibly satisfying, proving how well a game from ten years ago can still hold up. I still enjoy playing whenever it’s free to play or on sale, and even with all the new games coming out, I haven’t found anything that feels quite as good.
Far Cry 3
