In the original Solo Leveling story, Sung Il-Hwan was killed while battling two Monarchs simultaneously. However, in the updated Solo Leveling: Ragnarok timeline, he’s become powerful enough to resist the influence of the Outer Gods—something even the most skilled National Level Hunters couldn’t do. 4. Thomas Andre Becomes a Monarch-Level Hunter in Ragnarok

Thomas Andre is considered the most powerful S-Rank Hunter in the United States and is ranked number one among all national-level Hunters worldwide. Throughout much of Season 3 of Solo Leveling, Thomas Andre is depicted as being more powerful than Sung Jinwoo. The story eventually features a battle between the two characters.

In the original timeline of Solo Leveling, Cha Hae-In was a top-tier S-Rank Hunter, but she eventually fell behind as characters became incredibly powerful. However, in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, Cha Hae-In is much stronger. As Sung Suho’s mother, she’s evolved to the point where she can control mana at the level of a Monarch. By the time Ragnarok begins, she’s powerful enough to defeat an Apostle of Itarim.

Cha Hae-In is exceptionally powerful, surpassing all other S-Rank Hunters, even those at the national level, because she can defeat and absorb the energy of an Apostle. In the Solo Leveling: Ranarok light novel, she even manages to defeat the ultimate boss of the S-Rank Raid. While not as strong as her husband or son, she makes her already incredibly powerful family even more formidable by becoming a vessel for a Monarch while pregnant.

2. Sung Suho Isn’t as Strong as His Father, But He’s Just as OP

Sung Suho appears at the end of the original Solo Leveling story, after Sung Jinwoo travels back in time. He is the son of Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In, and has inherited his father’s incredible strength, as well as the ability to use the System. By chapter 67 of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, Sung Suho’s stats are already higher at level 75 than Sung Jinwoo’s were at level 80.

Sung Suho isn’t as strong as his father yet, but he has the potential to become even more powerful. He’s already incredibly strong and fast, can withstand a lot of damage, and, like his father, can summon his own Shadow Army as the new Monarch of Shadows.
