In Subnautica 2, to complete the Angel Comb puzzle, you need to locate the Bloom Cankers growing on the alien plant and eliminate them with the Sonic Resonator. After you destroy all the Cankers, the plant will bloom and the area around it will recover.
Angel Comb Guide In Subnautica 2
To solve the Angel Comb puzzle in Subnautica 2, you’ll need to find the Sonic Resonator first. It’s essential – you can’t finish the puzzle without it.
You’ll find your first Angel Comb during the game’s tutorial, and it helps you deal with stressful situations. The next one you’ll encounter solves a digestion problem in Subnautica 2.
As you explore, you might find another Angel Comb, or a young one. You can also encounter them while searching for Wander’s Blackbox.
From the Lifepod, the main Angel Comb is about 200 meters away, in a northwesterly direction. You need to heal the two smaller Angel Combs before you can heal the main one.
The first young Angel Comb is located around 340 degrees, 238m away from the Lifepod.
The second one is at around 250 degrees, 236m away from the Lifepod.
After you’ve found the Angel Comb, look for its Bloom Canker – it’s the glowing blue flower growing around the roots of the plant. Use the charged Sonic Resonator to destroy it.
Cankers constantly create parasites that will try to harm you. You can either choose to eliminate these parasites using the Sonic Resonator, or simply ignore them. They’ll vanish automatically once you’ve defeated all the Cankers, allowing you to focus on stopping the problem at its source.
This shows an example of a young Angel Comb. Unlike some, this one isn’t found in a cave, and you’ll need to defeat three Cankers here.
You can also follow the purple roots (Titan Rockbore) to find the next Angel Comb.
You can find Wander’s Blackbox by looking for a hole beneath the large Coral Dome.
Destroy the obstacle using the Sonic Resonator to enter.
Go inside and eliminate four Cankers near the plant. One is located in the center, right by the main stem, and the other three are around the purple roots.
Once the two young Angel Combs are fully recovered, go back to the main plant and eliminate the four Bloom Cankers surrounding it.
Once I finished building the Angel Comb, it opened up, letting me finally interact with that weird alien thing. And guess what? I unlocked a new ability – I can now handle the heat much better in Subnautica 2. It’s a game changer!
