Don’t Make the Same Mistake I Did in Forza Horizon 6

If you’re playing Forza Horizon 6, learn from my experience and avoid a common mistake I made during the races and events. This game is a huge open-world racer set in Japan, giving you the freedom to cause chaos – crashing through scenery to beat high scores – or take part in organized challenges to earn upgrades and unlock more of the game.

You can improve your Forza Horizon 6 wristbands by collecting Horizon Festival Points. You earn these points by doing various activities, but the main way is by winning races. Another great way to quickly earn points is to take photos of cars, especially during races where you haven’t yet photographed those specific vehicles.

Make Sure You’re Snapping Photos in Forza Horizon 6

I didn’t realize until later in Forza Horizon 6 how easy it was to earn Festival Points by taking pictures of new cars. This meant I sometimes had to do repetitive tasks to get the last few wristbands I needed. If I’d photographed every new car I found throughout the game, I could have avoided a lot of that. Each photo gives you 10 points, and with 638 cars in the game, that adds up to a potential 6,380 points! Getting in the habit of taking a quick photo of each car during races will save you a lot of unnecessary grinding later on.

Fortunately, it’s easy to track which cars you still need to photograph in Forza Horizon 6. A camera icon appears above any car you haven’t captured yet. I suggest including the car you’re currently driving in your photos, as it won’t have the icon. You can even get multiple cars in a single shot, which speeds things up. This will quickly earn you points and make collecting the final rewards much simpler.

How to Take Photos of Cars in Forza Horizon 6

  1. Push up on the d-pad
  2. Press A to take a photo

Capturing photos in Forza Horizon 6 is really easy. Just press the “up” button on the d-pad, then press A to take a picture. As long as your car is close enough to the subject and nothing is blocking the view, the photo will register. A checklist will show you which cars you’ve photographed, and the camera icon will disappear when you return to the game. You don’t need to save the photos – just take the picture and keep racing!

Taking photos of all the cars during your Forza Horizon 6 races will help you unlock more events and content more quickly. It’s a lot more efficient than trying to take photos after you finish all the races.
