To unlock the new Loot Room in the Controlled Access Zone of Dam Battlegrounds in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to find the Dam Controlled Access Zone Key. While this new area features a challenging puzzle, the locked door itself requires the key to open. This guide will show you where to find the key and exactly where to use it.

How To Get Controlled Access Zone Key in ARC Raiders

Like many items in ARC Raiders, finding a Controlled Access Zone Key relies heavily on luck. These keys are rare, but certain areas offer a better chance of dropping them, with the Dam Controlled Access Zone Key being one of the more common finds.

The first good farming spot is on the Dam Battlegrounds map, specifically in the Ruby Residence, Pale Apartments, and Pattern House. These locations are close together, allowing players to quickly check them all and start another run if they haven’t found the key they need. Loot quality is also significantly boosted during events like Night Raids, Cold Snap, Electromagnetic Storms, and Hurricanes, making keys a common and valuable drop in these areas.

You can also find keys in these locations, especially when map conditions are favorable for better loot.

  • Buried City: Hospital – Inside the Offices and the Laboratory
  • Buried City: Library – Cabinets and Study Room (2nd floor)
  • Stella Montis: Security Checkpoint – Lockers

Where To Use The Controlled Access Zone Key in ARC Raiders (Door Location)

Players looking for the Loot Room and the Controlled Access Zone Key should go to the Dam Battlegrounds map. They’ll find a new, high-tier loot area called the Controlled Access Zone near the Pipeline Tower.

You can reach this area by zipline from the dam’s northwest side, or by entering through the sewer opening between the floodgate corridors.

Once you’re inside, climb to the top using the broken catwalk – you’ll reach the area with the new puzzle. Don’t worry about the puzzle itself; instead, go past the doors and keep an eye out for a damaged Rocketeer hanging by cables. If you look down from it, you’ll quickly see the door you’re looking for.

Players entering this area from below will need to climb the damaged walkways and stairs to find the door located on the southwest side of the room.

A small opening created by a ladder leads near the locked door. This is the quickest of three ways to reach the Loot Room and the Controlled Access Zone, but watch out! A Rocketeer (or Bastion during Night Raids) consistently appears in this area and could spot you.

Use the Controlled Access Zone Key to enter a small room. Inside, you’ll find cabinets on the left, desks in the center, and drawers on the right. Grenade Tubes or a Medical Bag are usually at the back of the room. In the upper right corner, you can also find a Security Breach Locker.

Players will be most excited about the chests, as they often contain powerful weapons like the Tempest, Torrente, and Wolpack Grenades. You can also find the Wolfpack Grenade Blueprint during the Hurricane event.

Night Raids offer particularly good loot, and you have a chance to find the blueprints for the Snap Hook and Powered Descender. You’re also likely to come across Canto SMGs, Bobcats, and Vulcano weapons during these raids.
