To unlock the Axum Vision Adaptation in Subnautica 2, you’ll first need to eliminate three infested zones, and then deal with the Angel Comb near the Alien Ruins. This guide will walk you through the necessary steps, including how to clear the Pink Angel Comb in Subnautica 2.
The Disease Is Armored In Subnautica 2
In Subnautica 2, before you can clear the Angel Comb area near the Alien Ruins, you’ll need to upgrade your Sonic Resonator to a Feedback Resonator. This upgraded tool is essential because it’s the only one capable of destroying the bloom cankers. If you try to destroy them without it, the game will tell you they’re protected and can’t be damaged.
If you get too close to a bloom canker, it will close up, preventing the Sonic Resonator from working. However, the Feedback Resonator lets you attack it from far away, so you can destroy it while it’s still open.
Now that you have the Feedback Resonator, your next goal is to get the Axum Vision Adaptation. You’ll find it by exploring the three infested areas near the Angel Comb. To reach the first one, start at the Alien Ruins. If you’re unsure where either the Alien Ruins or the Angel Comb are, you can find them marked on your map in the Signals tab of your inventory. Also, you’ll need to upgrade your Tadpole to allow it to dive deeper than 300 meters.
Alien Ruins Angel Comb In Subnautica 2
Starting from the Alien Ruins, descend to a depth of about 160, then swim west. You’ll quickly find the first infested area directly below you.
Alien Ruins Juvenile Angel Comb 1
You’ll find the first canker in the center, guarded by aggressive fish. You can safely ignore the fish—they don’t do much damage—and use the Feedback Resonator to destroy the canker. Just be sure to stay far enough away so the canker doesn’t close up!
You haven’t fully healed the area yet – you still need to eliminate the second growth. It’s located to the west of where you found the first one.
Alien Ruins Juvenile Angel Comb 2
In Subnautica 2, after exploring the Alien Ruins, you can travel to the Angel Comb. The second infested area is located just to the southwest of it.
The first weak spot is located just behind the central flower. Move close to it and use the Feedback Resonator to eliminate it.
The second growth is located beneath the platform, right beside the largest flower. Once you’ve dealt with the problem area, return to the Angel Comb.
Alien Ruins Juvenile Angel Comb 3
From the Angel Comb, aim your Tadpole between east and northeast and move in that direction.
After the mountain, as you keep moving forward, you’ll slowly start seeing a Cicada wreck.
You can use your Resonator to clear the Bloom Biofilm in Subnautica 2.
Inside the destroyed building, you can find an elevator on the left side.
After that, there’s a broken floor leading to the third and final infestation area.
Okay, so just like with the other infested spots, I need to find those two cankers and blast them with the Feedback Resonator. Got it!
Clearing Alien Ruins Angel Comb
Once you’ve dealt with the three infested spots, the growths near the Angel Comb will become vulnerable, allowing you to attack them.
Go back to the Angel Comb’s location and destroy both cankers to clear the Angel Comb.
After clearing the Angel Comb, you can now interact with it to learn the Axum Vision Adaptation.
This upgrade lets your character understand and use Axum technology, helping you repair the Power Plant and unlock the Observatory in Subnautica 2.
