The introduction of Saint Nerona Imu in One Piece Chapter 1179 signaled the start of the Elbaph Arc’s exciting conclusion. Chapter 1182, released on May 10, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24, continues the arc’s fast-paced action, featuring intense battles and clashes between several incredibly powerful Gods.
The Elbaph Arc has heavily featured powerful god-like beings, both in its backstory and the main conflict. Currently, four of these incredibly powerful figures are known: Monkey D. Luffy, who is becoming known as the Sun God; Nerona Imu Inu, the Devil God; Loki, the Warrior God of Elbaph; and Zaza, the Rain God. Creator Eiichiro Oda plans for the arc to culminate in a massive four-way battle between these gods.
Elbaph Arc’s Climax Officially Has Officially Introduced 4 Gods In Imu, Loki, Luffy, And Zaza
The Elbaph arc of One Piece reached its peak after the Loki flashback concluded in Chapter 1171 on January 19, 2026. Fans anticipated major battles, but creator Eiichiro Oda exceeded all expectations. The arc’s climax took an unexpected turn with the debut of Saint Nerona Imu in Chapter 1179, published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #19 on April 6, 2026 – a moment that thrilled the entire One Piece community and dramatically increased the tension. Simultaneously, Oda revealed Loki’s true power, confirming him as the Warrior God of Elbaph in Chapter 1175, as stated by Jarul following the release of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #14 on March 2, 2025.
According to Elbaph legend, a powerful Warrior God once battled the Sun God. This god used a weapon called Ragnir-Iron Lightning and could transform into a massive dragon! He wasn’t alone though – a faithful ice squirrel named Ratatoskr fought by his side. – Elder Jarul, One Piece Chapter 1175
Luffy has awakened the Sun God Nika power, and fans are eagerly anticipating his full entrance into the fight against Nerona Imu. Right now, he’s focused on eating as much as possible, and each week we’re all waiting to see what happens next.
In One Piece chapter 1182, fans met Rain God Zaza, summoned by Killingham using the power of his Kirin devil fruit. Now there are four Gods present on Elbaph, and they’re all likely to participate in a large battle soon. With chapter 1183 scheduled for release on May 24th, 2026, that battle seems to be drawing nearer.
Why Rain God Zaza Will Join Luffy and Loki Against Nerona Imu
Currently, the fight in Elbaph is a two-on-two battle. Representing the World Government are Nerona Imu and Rain God Zaza, who is being controlled by Saint Killingham. Facing them are Monkey D. Luffy, also known as the Sun God, and Loki, the Warrior God of Elbaph. While Luffy is temporarily out of the fight, Imu is battling Loki in a captivating fight that’s unfolded over the last three chapters. At the same time, Rain God Zaza is causing destruction in the Western Village of Elbaph.
It’s become clear that Killingham might not be able to fully control the Rain God Zaza. Saint Sommers confirmed this in chapter 1182 of One Piece, and Killingham himself has expressed uncertainty about his control. Many fans believe this is a deliberate plot point by Oda, setting the stage for Zaza to eventually become uncontrollable.
“Are you kidding me? You’re going to scare everyone! You can keep things under control, right?” — Saint Sommers to Killingham, One Piece Chapter #1182
It’s particularly intriguing that Sanji is approaching Rain God Zaza. Since Zaza is a woman, we can expect a special interaction, considering Sanji’s well-known behavior around women. He often recognizes kindness and has a knack for turning opponents into friends, like he did with Pudding (Chapter 862 of One Piece) and Viola in the Dressrosa arc. Sanji might be able to win Zaza over and help her escape Killingham’s influence. It’s also important to remember that Zaza naturally opposes the World Government, as she’s identified as an enemy of the Celestial Dragons – a fact Killingham revealed in Chapter 1182.
We grew up in a sky-high land, far above the clouds. Rain was something we were taught to fear! After stories of the people of D and Nika, the biggest warning we received was about a monster in the world below – the Rain God, who supposedly pours water down on you. — Saint Killingham, One Piece Chapter 1182
The climactic battle on Elbaph might see the Rain God Zaza, Sun God Nika, and Warrior God Loki team up to fight the Devil God Nerona Imu in a three-on-one showdown, which would be incredibly exciting for fans.

All Gods To Be Introduced In The New Arc After Elbaph
The world of One Piece already features four powerful Gods with a significant presence in the story of Elbaph, leading many fans to believe no more will be introduced. However, Chapter 287 of the Skypiea Arc, titled “Kami Killing,” officially revealed the existence of two additional Gods – the Forest God and the Earth God – alongside the already known Sun God and Rain God. Since only two of the four Gods have been shown so far, it’s likely that future arcs after Elbaph will introduce us to the remaining ones.
In One Piece chapter 287, a Shandian Elder pleads to the gods of the sun, rain, forest, and earth, offering a woman’s blood as a sacrifice to protect their village from impending catastrophe.
In One Piece chapter 1138, the introduction of Harley hinted at the existence of multiple Gods within the series. Harley offered fans a unique shared experience and confirmed the presence of beings like the Earth God, Forest God, and Sea God, as well as others such as the Serpent of Hellfire. It’s now clear that more Gods will be revealed as the Final Saga unfolds, which fans are greatly anticipating. Hopefully, future arcs will be as captivating as the Elbaph arc, and given Eiichiro Oda’s track record, we can expect even more epic events to come.
