Xbox Game Pass has gained two new games, and its Premium plan now includes three more. The biggest addition is Remnant 2, which is available on the service again after a previous appearance.
Released in July 2023 by Gunfire Games, Remnant 2 is a popular soulslike game. It’s received a “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, averaging 82 out of 100 from 117 reviews, with 86% of critics recommending it. Reviewers especially liked the engaging cooperative gameplay and the game’s high replayability, which is enhanced by its randomly generated levels. Remnant 2 has become known for successfully blending third-person shooting with the challenging elements of soulslike games, including stamina management, detailed environments, and a checkpoint system similar to those found in FromSoftware titles.
Remnant 2 Is Now Officially Back on Xbox Game Pass
Just under a year after being removed from Xbox Game Pass in mid-2025, the popular soulslike game Remnant 2 is back! It’s available on all Game Pass tiers except the Essential plan. Remnant 2 was on the service for 18 months previously, and if the new agreement is similar, it could stay available until late 2027. Its return also coincides with the reappearance of My Friend Peppa Pig, which was previously on Xbox Game Pass from July 2022 to June 2025.

Our May 20th update adds three games to the Premium library: Dead Static Drive, Pigeon Simulator, and Winter Burrow. These games first became available on higher subscription tiers in November 2025 as part of our day-one release program. Notably, Winter Burrow was the 200th game added to Xbox Game Pass in 2025, marking a special achievement for the platform with its charming hand-drawn art style and survival gameplay.

Six new games are coming to Xbox Game Pass later in May 2026. First up is the sci-fi shooter Luna Abyss on May 21st, with Escape Simulator joining the lineup on May 26th. Then, on May 27th, players can look forward to The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition and Echo Generation 2. Finally, Kabuto Park and Crashout Crew will be added on May 28th.

Okay, so it looks like we’re probably going to find out what games are coming to Xbox Game Pass next month on June 2nd. That’s also when Jurassic World Evolution 3 and Final Fantasy 6 are dropping onto the service – I’m expecting them to be playable around midnight, local time, which is awesome!
