Samsung is planning to release another Galaxy phone next year, likely alongside the upcoming Galaxy S27 series. According to a report from ETNews in South Korea, this new phone, potentially called the Galaxy S27 Pro, would be positioned between the standard S27 and the high-end Ultra model, offering a premium option for customers.
Next year’s Samsung Galaxy S27 lineup is expected to have four different models: the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra.
The report indicates the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro will have a 6.47-inch OLED screen – a size not previously used in the Galaxy S series. This means the phone will be a bit taller than the standard S27, but smaller than the S27 Ultra.
It seems Samsung is planning a smaller version of its top-of-the-line phone, the S27 Pro, following Apple’s strategy with the iPhone Pro and Pro Max. According to reports, the S27 Pro will have the same powerful features as the larger Ultra model, but in a more compact size, and it won’t include support for the S-Pen stylus.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to have the same advanced camera system and powerful processor as the Ultra version, along with similar storage and memory options. Details beyond that are currently unknown.
Samsung typically unveils its latest Galaxy S phones at the beginning of the year, so it will be a while before the new model is officially released. However, Samsung often has trouble keeping details secret, so we’ll probably see leaked images and information before the official announcement.
