Ubisoft plans to release new installments in its popular Ghost Recon, Far Cry, and Assassin’s Creed series before the end of its 2028-2029 financial year. The company announced this while sharing its recent financial results, stating they expect a much stronger and more varied lineup of games over the next few years, specifically in the 2027-2028 and 2028-2029 financial years.
The studio plans to expand its game offerings by using popular franchises like Far Cry, Ghost Recon, and Assassin’s Creed. This includes the already announced Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, and hints at more games to come, possibly including a title like AC Hexe.
Rumors suggest a new Far Cry game is currently in the works, with details about the gameplay, story, and multiplayer features appearing online. However, Ubisoft hasn’t officially acknowledged the new installment since the release of Far Cry 6.
Ghost Recon is a sensitive subject for the company. Besides The Division 3, Ubisoft started developing several new Ghost Recon titles, but it appears all of those projects have been scrapped. The most recent major Ghost Recon game, Breakpoint, didn’t perform well with players.
The good news is that Ubisoft is developing new games in its popular series and aims to regain its former success by releasing several titles each year. However, it’s best not to ask about the progress of Beyond Good and Evil 2 – that’s a sensitive subject.
