One of the challenges in the Forza Horizon 6 Summer Festival Playlist requires you to complete the Airfield Takeoff Danger Sign event. You’ll need an A-Class car with a performance score of 700 or less, and it must be made by a Japanese car manufacturer. I learned the hard way that Hyundai isn’t Japanese – it’s actually from South Korea! I don’t know much about cars, so I made that mistake!
Let’s get you started with the Airfield Takeoff event! We’ll show you where to find it and suggest a great car to help you complete the challenge and earn stars. Completing this event will reward you with a free Wheelspin and two points towards the season’s rewards.
Completing the Summer Season goals in Forza Horizon 6 will unlock two cars for you: the 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z Edition and the 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR.
Where is the Airfield Takeoff Danger Sign Event?
The Airfield Takeoff Danger Sign is located in the Ito region. These challenges involve driving your car at high speed and launching it off a ramp to achieve maximum airtime. A vehicle with a high Launch stat is crucial for earning three stars.
To finish this challenge in the Festival Playlist, you’ll need an A-Class car made in Japan with a Performance Index of 700 or less. Popular Japanese car brands include Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Nissan. If you’re unsure where a car was made, a quick online search should tell you!
Which Car to Use for the Airfield Takeoff Danger Sign?
If you’ve been participating in the Festival Playlist, you might already have the 2022 Toyota GR86. I used this car to finish this challenge as part of the Gazoo Racer series. I did need to find a special custom tune with a high Launch stat to make it work, though.
If you’re looking for custom tuning, head to a garage and select the ‘Upgrades and Tuning’ option. Then, choose ‘Find Tuning Jobs’. We discovered a good tune for a GR86 (an A-Class car with a performance score of 700 and a Launch stat of 9.7) created by a player named ‘HOULAI820’. You don’t have to use this specific tune or car, but it served as a helpful example for us!
Okay, so once you’ve got a good Japanese car dialed in, head over to the Airfield, near the Takeoff Danger Sign. I like to start as far back as possible. If you go straight north from the ramp, there’s even this little hill off to the side of the road you can use for an extra speed boost – it really helps!
Using our GR86 setup, we achieved a distance of 756.91 feet on the Drag Strip, measured from the point just past the Danger Sign.
