The latest playable content for the upcoming DLC of “Star Wars Outlaws,” titled “A Pirate’s Fortune,” has been made available. Although initial responses to “Star Wars Outlaws” were generally favorable upon its release in August 2024, it didn’t achieve the sales figures Ubisoft had anticipated. Regardless, an additional chapter is being prepared for players who have purchased the game.
In the recently launched expansion for Star Wars Outlaws, titled Story DLC, we find Kay sneaking into a high-stakes Sabacc tournament. During this event, she encounters the infamous Lando Calrissian and discovers that there’s more at play than just gambling. The addition offers players a fresh narrative, unexplored locations to explore, and exciting quests to complete.
The latest trailer for the Star Wars Outlaws DLC expansion, titled “A Pirate’s Fortune”, has been unveiled, offering a sneak peek at what’s in store for the game. In this exciting chapter, our hero Kay joins forces with the notorious pirate Hondo Ohnaka to confront Stinger Tash and her Rokana Raiders, all while searching for hidden treasures within the Khepi Tomb. Additionally, players will encounter the Miyuki Trade League, who provide incentives for smuggling hazardous cargo as a Trailblazer. “A Pirate’s Fortune” is set to launch on every platform on May 15th.

Players who possess either the Ultimate or Deluxe editions of “Star Wars Outlaws” will gain the Naboo Nobility and Desert Nomad cosmetic packs. In addition, all players of “Star Wars Outlaws” will receive gear reminiscent of “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” as part of an upcoming title update that coincides with A Pirate’s Fortune. Upon downloading and installing the new update, these items can be found in a delivery crate on the Trailblazer. For those who have yet to experience “Star Wars Outlaws,” a free demo is now available, offering players three hours of access to the game.

As a gamer myself, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve learned “Star Wars Outlaws” is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4th. Details about the port are scarce at the moment, with nothing confirmed about the additional content it might include beyond what was released post-launch. The final installment of the game’s season pass, “A Pirate’s Fortune,” is on its way, but there’s no word yet on what lies ahead for players after it drops.
There’s no news about a sequel to “Star Wars Outlaws” just yet, though given its underwhelming sales, it might be a stretch to expect one. For now, we can only hope that the escapades of Kay Vess and Nix will continue in some future game.
