Forza Horizon 6 introduces cool new ways to customize your cars, including quick and easy tuning. With Upgrade Presets, you can instantly combine visual modifications like body kits and wheels with performance upgrades, all in a single click, to create the perfect style and performance combination.
These improvements come with different costs and can offer varying levels of performance gains. Sometimes, they’re powerful enough to significantly boost a car’s capabilities – even moving it up multiple classes (like from an A Class to an S2 Class). We’ll go into more detail below to explain how!
Forza Horizon 6 Upgrade Presets and Bodykits, Explained
The game starts with nearly 600 cars to choose from, and you can heavily customize each one, particularly how it performs and handles.
Honestly, most racing games let you tweak a few things, but it’s usually just wheels. It’s really frustrating! What I really want is to be able to slap on different spoilers, hoods, bumpers, side skirts, or even those awesome widebody kits you see in the car scene. It’s cool when a game actually lets you do that and really personalize your ride.
Currently, there are approximately 100 widebody kits available in Forza Horizon 6. Some of the rarer cars even have multiple widebody options to choose from.
Okay, so I’ve noticed sometimes when I’m checking out cars with bodykits, the option to see pre-made upgrade setups just isn’t there. It’s kinda weird when you’re trying to figure out what car to customize next, because you can’t easily see what’s possible right away.
Some cars in Forza Horizon 6 that let you heavily customize their appearance, like the 2005 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, and the classic 1992 Mazda RX-7 Type R, aren’t displayed in the Autoshow when you filter for vehicles with “Bodykit & Presets Available.”
If you want to heavily customize a car’s appearance and performance, older, affordable models – particularly those made between 1990 and 2000 – are the best way to go. In the game Forza Horizon 6, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Toyota offer the widest range of visual customization options.
Looking to customize cars with awesome visual upgrades? We’ve put together a list of the most adaptable options in Forza Horizon 6, highlighting the most extreme makeovers currently possible – especially for fans of Japanese car culture.
